Look for items that you believe work with your personality and lifestyle. For instance, your style might range from vintage to trendy, rugged or classic, feminine or gender-neutral.

Once you have chosen your style wear it for at least a week. Do you feel comfortable wearing it? Generally, do you receive some compliments or positive remarks about how you look? If you don’t then you might want to continue tweaking your style. Experiment and take your own time before settling on your signature style. Don’t settle on a style that doesn’t feel like ‘you’. When you finally are able to locate the correct signature style, it should actually feel just like your very own unique personality that is being expressed by articles of clothing.

You should be open to change. It’s your style but that doesn’t mean that it can’t change over time. Don’t stay with a certain style because of what others expect. Don’t rely on just fashion trends, because your tastes may change later. So it is okay to change your style now and then.
