Canadian return Zamreen celebrating Eid with refugees

Eid is coming after 01-02 days which is religious celebrations in Islam. Our super girl Zamreen is really happy and shares her schedule with us. Zamreen says it’s Eid, and I should be happy. But my parents are thousands of miles away in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage. To cheer me up, my grandmother gives her a gift of beautiful clothes from Pakistan, one outfit for each of the three days of Eid. She even prepares lamb korma, my favorite dinner, which they will enjoy when they return from prayers.

Zamreen says last year with same feeling at the prayer hall, I meet two sisters who are not dressed in new clothes for the holiday. I discover that the girls are refugees. With their father, they have fled from their war-torn country. I can’t stop thinking about the girls and what Eid must be like for them. That’s when I come up with a plan to help the girls celebrate Eid and make it the best Eid holiday ever.

Luxury Cars Impress Maisha, Maisha Indian Punjabi Girl In UK

Maisha Indian Punjabi girl writes from UK that luxury cars are wonderful things, but not everyone can afford to drive one. If you’re one of the lucky few who can, or if you just like to look at them and learn about them, there are a few that you really should pay attention to. This picture is taken by her young brother in her CIVIC car.

The Porsche Boxster has been popular for years, and it seems that Porsche continues to do great things with it. Each time it’s revamped it offers more power, more comfort, and more class, making it a favorite among those who are looking for a luxury car that still offers a lot of sporty sophistication. Not everyone wants a huge, four-door vehicle when it comes to a luxury car.

If the Porsche Boxster isn’t quite what you’re after, it might be better to check into the Aston Martin Db9 Volante. Aston Martin got famous as James Bond’s car, but the company makes several different models and they all provide the driver with a lot of luxury and sophistication. If you want to have a high-status and high-quality car, it’s hard to go wrong with an Aston Martin, regardless of what model you decide to buy. The Db9 Volante, though, is one that not a lot of Aston Martin enthusiasts have given a lot of thought to.

Bentley is another great luxury car, and the Continental GT is one of the best Bentley models. If you’re looking for high-end luxury with a name that you know you can trust, you can’t go wrong with the Bentley Continental GT.

Iftar Dinner With Somia Pakistani Girl in Karachi

Ramadan is an Islamic religious observance that takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, when the Qur’an was revealed. It is considered the most venerated and blessed month of the Islamic year. Prayers, sawm (fasting), charity, and self-accountability are especially stressed at this time; religious observances associated with Ramadan are kept throughout the month. During Ramadan, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. They do not even drink water during this time. Iftar refers to the evening meal for breaking the daily fast. Iftar during Ramadan is often done as a community, with Muslims gathering to break their fast together. Iftar is done right after Maghrib (sunset) time. Annually, the REO holds an Iftar dinner & invites all of the local leaders & friends from the surrounding communities to join in the feast.

In Pakistan, in places like Karachi, people break their fast with Haleem because it has a rich taste and is quite filling. As a meal in Pakistan, iftar is usually heavy, comprising mainly of sweet and savoury treats such as jalebi, samosas, pakoras and namak para, besides the staple dates and water. Rooh Afza, a sweet syrup-based drink, is also considered an integral part of the iftar in Pakistan, sometimes replacing water. Other items such as chicken rolls, spring rolls, Shami Kebabs, and fruit salads are also very common. Amongst the Punjab and Mohajir ethnic groups iftar is often, but not necessarily, followed up by a regular dinner later during the night. Pashtuns, Balochis and the Northern Peoples combine dinner and iftar. Laghman soup, locally called Kalli, is an an iftar staple in Chitral and parts of Gilgit.
