Pakistani Afra Ahlam in Handicraft Shop with Straw Hat

Straw hats are really in these days – especially if you’re from South East Asia. But Pakistani girls are increasingly taking to stylish headgear. Here we see Afra Ahlam in a handicraft shop in what appears to be a Southeast Asian country – probably Thailand or Laos. There are several styles of straw hats, but all of them are made of woven straw. Many of these hats are formed in a similar way to felt hats; they are softened by steam or by submersion in hot water, and then formed by hand or over a block. Finer and more expensive straw hats have a tighter and more consistent weave.

The beauty of Pakistani babes is legendary, as this photo obviously proves. Glamour takes on a different meaning when it comes to the subcontinent.
