For the past few seasons on the runway we have seen the embellished hippie headbands come back in style from the 80s, we’ve seen the scarf headband come back, and animal print inspired clips and headbands make an appearance. While the head scarf and bedazzled clips will always be in style, the headband, is a timeless and always in season hair accessory. Domestic Violence Against Women in Rural India

Domestic violence sometimes even takes place right in public places. We feel sorry for the poor lady but we just go on with our lives. Where have all those knights gone? How much do these damsels require knights now?

One in three women in India is reportedly a victim of domestic violence. Few of their cases make it to court and those that do experience long and costly cases. But in the north of the country, a group of women are taking the law into their own hands.

Bundelkhand in south-east Uttar Pradesh is among the most underdeveloped and poverty-stricken areas in India. Crime and government corruption are rampant. The upper-caste people rule by the strength of their money and influence. The poor, lower-caste people are daily wage labourers or work as farmers in the fields owned by the elite. Four years ago, Sampat Pal Devi of India’s northern Uttar Pradesh state’s Banda, founded the “Gulabi Gang”. Otherwise known as; the “pink gang”.

In rural India, with the administration often corrupt and failing to deliver, and with women still amongst the most oppressed, it was only a matter of time before movements such as Gulabi Gang became popular.

Juggan Kazim (Mehr Bano) known by the stage name Juggan “Jay” Kazim is a Pakistani Canadian actress, model, and television host. She has worked in numerous Pakistani and Canadian films. She was nominated for MTV Model of the Year in 2008. Juggan Kazim is the brand ambassador of Garnier Pakistan.

All permanent hair color products and lighteners contain a developer, or oxidizing agent, and an alkalizing agent, most often ammonia. When the tint containing the alkalizing ingredient is combined with the developer a chemical reaction is caused that swells the hair permitting the tint to enter the cortex, where the melanin is located. The melanin is lightened and subsumed by the new color. Permanent color is truly permanent and will not wash out, although it may fade.

She grew up in Cantonment, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan with an elder sister and a younger brother. She went to Lahore Grammar School, and then to Kinnaird College to do her FA. After completing that, she attended the Kings College, an affiliate of University of Western Ontario in Canada where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Media but never completed it.

Juggan’s first commercial play was when she was fourteen years old which was directed by Mashal Peerzada. However, she started her professional acting and modeling career under the name ‘Jay Kazim’ in Toronto. She did two music videos with them and then was approached by Canadian Agents, The Newton Landry Management.

Kazim’s first starring role was in the movie Pink Ludoos, a role she did not expect to get.

A group of students set a new Guinness World of Records by accommodating 19 girls in a Smart Car. Nineteen young girls in Karachi managed to fit into a two-door smart car in hopes of having their names put in the Guinness Book of World Records.

This historic event took place at DHA Creek Club, Karachi in front of a Jury and reported worldwide Wednesday in the presence of Speaker Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khoro who was chief guest on the occasion and Wasim Akram former Pakistan Cricket captain.

Aymen Saleem Yousuf who is the leader of the team squeezed into a standard Smart Car to smash the record ealier set by the Climb Fit Team of Australia when 18 students compressed into a standard Smart Car at Sydney Australia on January 25, 2010.

The jury comprised of Nisar Ahmed Khoro, Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig Advisor to Prime Minister of Pakistan, Sharmila Farooqui Advisor to CM Sindh on Information, former Pakistan cricket captain Waseem Akram, former hockey captain and olympian Islahuddin and Ishtiaq Baig Hon. Consul General of Morocco.
