Designer Charu Parashar showcased unique Punjabi outfits in combination with Pakistani styles at a three-day long fashion extravaganza in Ludhiana.

Parashar said the fusion of Pakistani and traditional Punjabi designs set her collection apart from other designers.

Bollywood actress Mahi Gill walked the ramp in traditional Indian wear. Mahi Gill said “I want famous designers to come up with their unique designs, as Charu Parashar has taken the initiative to showcase her designs here, and we have inaugurated the show. That is the reason I am here as I wanted to contribute to the show, which is taking place in Punjab. I am sure people would love it and would like to see more fashion shows in the future.”

The fashion extravaganza would end on November 13.

Salwar kameez, also spelt in different ways and popularly known as Churidar pajamee as well as Tunic pants is as recognizable as the traditional sari of India. It is also called a Lacha kamiz or a Punjabi suit in some places in the Indian subcontinent.
