The legend has it that the design of the first ’stretch limousine’ was inspired by a kind of protecting hood worn by shepherds in the limousine region of France. Also, it is assumed that the designer or one of the designers of the car was French and named the car Limousine.

Limousine is not the name of a brand of cars but it refers to a group of vehicles that have certain characteristics.
Types of limousines
The modern cars that are called limousines can be a stretch SUV, limo bus, motor van or motor coach. However, limousines can be divided into two other broad categories, such as the traditional and exotic.
